CU9 plenary meeting in Barcelona

September 21-23 took place in the University of Barcelona Faculty of Physics the DPAC CU9 plenary meeting, in which scientists and engineers involved in this project put on the table the current state of the Gaia mission and future achievements.

The Gaia catalogue access, whose first release is scheduled for the summer of 2016, was the recurring theme during the meeting. Participants also discussed about outreach activities, dissemination, data visualization or validation, always keeping in mind that the final objective of such mission is to have a catalogue, for which the scanning of the Milky Way is essential.
