Gaia DPAC Consortium Meeting

From January 23-27 2017 will take place in Sitges the second meeting of the Data Processing and Analysis Consortium (DPAC).

Representatives of all nine Coordination Units (CU) and six Data Processing Centers (DPC) will participate in a working meeting whose goals are:

• Share and discuss the experience of the first data release.
• Review the first scientific results of Gaia.
• Prepare for the second data release.
• Work on cross-CU/DPC issues.
• Bring DPAC members together.
• Team building
• Visibility for DPAC

Plenary sessions to present and discuss results of interest to everyone in the consortium will take place in the morning. The afternoons will be used to organize splinter meetings aimed at working on cross-CU or cross-DPC issues. The meeting will also feature a public lecture on Gaia and an event for the press.
